About Me:: Kayaker since I was 10(?), in the industry since 18, mostly as a videoboater but I guide and drive some, I'm 44 now. I have alot more mileage than ability. My mom asked me to come help with my dad who's got Alzheimer's and Parkinson's so I'm hanging out in Asheville NC. No offense but i grew up here and absolutly hated it as a child and to me it's gotten much worse. There's not much for me to do here so I'm on the computer some, thought I'd sign up. There are two very distintive me's, if you don't like the current me it's probably for good reason but if you visit me in Wyoming you'll probably change your mind. Some people only know me as Swami, which is kinda goofy.

Favorite Rivers:: All of them. Ok how about The Grand Canyon, Bitch Creek in Idaho, Gauley, Snake, The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, although I've never paddled it cause It's illegal and more importantly I'd probably die but it's by far the most beautiful. Lochsa, Salmon, Americans, Gros Ventre, the Green and Tallula except the water's kinda...uh....clean water has become very important. The Smokys. Got my first paycheck on the Nolichucky.

Boats:: A back injury has kept me from updating boats for a while but I'm a pretty faithful follower of Corran so I will probably get a Dragorossi Squashtail(I like slicey). Lately I find myself surfing on a board more than boating. I just jump in and swim alot too. I'm resurecting a C1 squirt boat(cutting down an aerobat that's been hanging in my parents garage for years). I have an H3, a Riot Teckno, a Riot Dom, a Riot Slice that I work out of, a Shredder which is a small paddle cataraft made by Airtight Inflatables, I once had 19 customers in one paddle raft. There's some other boats laying around here. How about a Prijon Bambino, ever heard of that? It was my first boat, it's from the sixtys. I'm pretty much into anything that floats above neutral bouancy.

Other Activities:: Eat, poop, ski everything else is just waiting. Snowboarding is skiing too.

Music:: When your jackets flappin', your boots are squeakin' and there's a billion snowflakes breaking all at once. Jenifer, Jesi and Cynthia talking about what's for dinner. "Da Kine pakalolo eh Brah?" The water that skims across green water when you green spin, not sure why but this stands out. Big globs of mud landing on the Toyota's roof. Bombs on a powder morning especially when Im the one throwing them."Wanna go do something?" Other than that pretty much all of it. Johnny Cash was my first concert, pretty cool huh? My grandma rocked! She's buried 18 miles from Summersville Dam. She used to run Long Shoals, now know as Lost Paddle in a Jonboat with customers decades before Jon Dragon or Uncle Paul Breuar while drunk on Shine and High on the Mtn Pakalolo. Everyonce in a while at Tumblehome I can hear her say "Boy, you need a haircut!".

Movies:: Ski/kayak/surf/snowmobile/offroad/crashnburn porn. The Incredibles and all other cartoon movies, pretty much. Step into liquid because it was so make do with what we had in order to surf and that guy that surfed every day for twenty five years.. Currently I'm living The Rainman. I think all the kids should watch Roots and Crash but in the other order(sorry I'm a little buzzed). The Jerk. Damned River. I saw Deliverence when I was a little kid but I had to leave during part of it. Happy Gilmore, Scarface, Cheech and Chong...., It's a mad mad mad world. Christmas in Yellowstone. Youtube. Tank Girl. It's not a movie but the bubbleline thing in front of the first rock at Sweets, if you don't know I'll elaborate, very cool. That's all for now.

Books:: Currently reading my Grandpa's book called Fifty years of Livestock Research, it's better than you think but still pretty slow. Select Peaks of Greater Yellowstone and Teton Skiing by Thomas Turiano are always handy. Tim Cahill. This could be a long list, I guess check back...

Good Things:: Air, Arbor, Bodyarmor, Big Air Party in Tetonia every Solstice(Hi to Naked Girl), Big Sky, Base welders, Bootpacks, Beartooth Pass, Coldsmoke, Carving(like really), Discovery Basin, Drifts, the Edge, Forts, Gravity, Hucks, Inverted, January, Killin' it, K2, Lost Trail/Powder Mountain, Lines, Month of Sundays aka ICU, Mary's Nipple, Moonlight Basin, Mandatory air, No friends on a powder day, Overrotation, Pow, Podunct ski areas, Quad, Real slippery, Snow and all related things except places where they salt the roads, Sexy telemark, snowboard and alpine girls, Skadi, Snowmobiles, Scarpa, Toyota, Targhee, Telemark, Tetonat.com, Teton Pass and alot , Ullr, Vertical, When the snows so deep that you're thinking "Hey this is like swimming deep at Pillow!", Wind lips, XC, Yellowstone, Zermatt(?) I don't know never been there. 22designs, 3pins, 4 feet of snow, 7tm, Oh Shit this is a kayaker sight, My bad. How about Zambezi?
