Relationship Status:: Married

About Me:: I love whitewater, good music, good people, and great beer. I started boating in 01' when I lived in Tallulah Falls (sweet mountain cabin). I learned on the Chattooga (it was down the road). I recently joined the Atlanta Whitewater Club. I am a member of the ACA. I have been through some crazy stuff that kept me away from boating. I am getting back into it after a 3 year drought from the sport. And it feels great to be back and around great people who love being on the river.

I am looking to progress in the sport and find the right folks to help me reach some of the goals I have set for myself. Goals would include an attempt at the Ocoee and Section 4 of the Chattooga. I take safety very seriously when on the river because I would like my buddies to boat another day, and would hope they would like for me to do the same. So, if you just got worked and I am asking you if you are ok.....don't take it the wrong way. Be happy that someone has got your back. BTW, if the Broad River here in Athens ever floods I will be calling. It is worth the trip and I'll take you out for beers after.

Paddling:: River Running

Favorite Rivers:: Section 3 and 3.5 Chattooga, Ocoee, and the Broad at flood stage

Boats:: Liquid Logic CR, Sold the Necky Zip got a LL Jefe and love it, and 2 old school Shane Wave Skis (oldies but goodies)

Other Activities:: Making money to go boating.
Jazz cocktail hour with my wife.

Music:: Classic Rock, Bluegrass, Jazz, and the Dead

Movies:: I'm currently going through AFI's top 100 movies of all-time. Netflix has been sweet.

Books:: Anything that has to do with the outdoors.

Good Things:: Finding good people to paddle with.
Good conversation
Having a wife that understands my passion for the river and the boating community.
A cold beer after a river run.
Laughter

Hateful Things:: Having the wrong people to paddle with.

PFD of the Middle "O"

The day finally came at last. Sunday June 1st will be a day I will always remember. It was 7 years in the making and it was everything I thought it would be and then some. My PFD of the Middle Ocoee. The morning drive from Athens, GA proved to be be a task from the get go. A horrific thunderstorm in Cleveland, GA led me to believe that I would not make it to the Ocoee for my first attempt. And be sure that when u run sec 4 hav a good person to go with that can rescue you if u get into trouble. And it u have a gret roll u should do fine!
