The River Why (A must read, especially if you live in the PNW) The Brothers K, Candide, Blue Like Jazz, Soggy Sneakers, Colorado Rivers and Creeks, Idaho Playboating, Whitewater rivers of Washington and idaho whitewater
Good Things:
Wife, Dog, Waterfalls, deep snow and steep lines, long boulder gardens, warm summer days playboating, all that stuff.
Hateful Things:
I would say swimming but it keeps us humble.

I haven't read that one but it's on my to do list this summer along with class five rapids. Are contemplative memoir-style literature and adrenaline pumping whitewater a good mix? Only time will tell.
