Wow, these last few weeks have flown by. On May 29th there was Payette Boise River Revival Festival in which one of the competitions was a Jr. Freestyle event that I organized. Its official: Idaho has high water. The rivers in or around Boise have all peaked aboved or around 10 ft. With all this high water, there has been massive amounts of play for us Idaho River Kids. Waves are now soaring above our heads and there has the perfect oppurtunity to get on great waves. Most notably is the 36th street wave right in Boise. These last few weeks have sure flown by. I am paddling every weekend Friday and Saturday with the Idaho River Kids group and recently we have been training heavily to get as much freestyle in as we can before we head down to the Reno River Festival this Thursday. Some of us have already been down the North Fork of the Payette, others the South Fork, and the rest down the Main this year. We are truly a diverse group of kids. Just created my site.. Still winter here in Boise but the spring is going to be pretty big water so hopefully the Bladder Wave http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River_detail_id_587 will come in. Also, there is an event coming up for Boise called the Payette Boise Rodeo (similar to whitewater reno festival only smaller) where I am going to be the head of the Jr. Freestyle competetion.
